Going to the temple...

Last year before school started I decided it would be a good idea to take Hinckley up to the temple and so we did it again this year! It actually worked out great because a few days before we went up Troys Grandma passed away and so on the way up we were able to talk about her and how we will see her again. It is so peaceful and warm at the temple and I so thankful we went up!

My sweet boys. It is hard to believe that in a few weeks we will have another one!
A close up picture
Hinks showing off his camera that Grandma Carter gave him. He takes that thing everywhere!
Chandler with his very short hair cut. I really didn't mean to get it that short...
They loved dipping their hands in the water at the fountain.
On our little walk around
Chandler found a flower he could pick and was so impressed with himself! I didn't dare break it to him that it was a weed.
So precious!

24th of July

Every 24th of July Mormons like to come together and celebrate our heritage and history. This year was no exception!

Chandler riding a goat
He was in love with it
Hinks dancing
More dancing
More dancing
And more dancing!
I had a very sweet experience after all this dancing with the sweetest little girl. Down the road I will share it with you but it changed my heart. It was just what the Lord needed to send to me.

Little Dragon blue belt test

Before we were struck with sickies Hinckley had a belt test. HE DID FANTASTIC! I WAS SO PROUD OF HIM!
Doing a real push up
Doing leg lifts
Love the fierce in his eyes!
LOVE IT!
He doesn't back down or anything!
His instructors praising him for something. It was probably right after he tested. He had to do most of the test by himself because he is ahead of all the other kids.
Group demo
Look at that kick!
Trading out his old belt for the new!
Showing respect to the new belt
See his new belt!

WAY TO GO HINKS!

Happy 4th of July 2012

We were so excited that Daddy had off from work for the 4th of July.We headed downtown Los Lunas to watch the parade. We waited forever for it to start and I am not sure it was worth it but I guess being together as a family is what it should be about.

Grandpa went to the convenient store and bought some yummy ice cream sandwiches! It did get pretty hot!

My cute toes that my friend painted. I wish I had taken a closer picture because they looked professional!

More dancing
Still waiting...
Getting ready for the American Flag to pass us
Did you know we had a swat team in tiny LL?!
Hinks waiting for the parade
The huge flag that veterans carried... Yep I cried just like last year

Old restored military vehicles
Spot the fire dog
We enjoyed a nice BBQ that afternoon at my parents house and then we have the best view of the fireworks from their house. Last year we had a little mishap with the sparklers so this year Grandpa put them in the ground

See!
My boys love the flag!
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!
We were so glad to have daddy home with us! I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July just like we did

Bummer...

Welcome to our new family blog! It will take me a while to get this up and going but it should be worth it, right? I have thought about not continuing my blog but then I look back on all my posts and think what a great journal it has been for me. So I will pick up where we left off on our old blog... Which was like over a month ago!

We have been sick for a month. You think I am kidding but I am not. Its been this awful cough/sore throat that we just can't kick. Anyway, before we got sick we washed our car one afternoon.

I love how Chandler is in his PJ's and it was afternoon... I know MOM of the YEAR award goes to me!
WE always end up having a water fight when we wash the car. We washed it again today too. But look at these little helpers!
Yup my 6 year old helper!
He would live outside if I would let him.
Daddy did all the hard cleaning because my belly just gets in the way
