Baby #3

It is still hard to believe in about 6 weeks we will have another baby boy in our house! We went in for a 32 weeks scan a few weeks ago and things for the most part looked great. They are a bit concerned about my amniotic fluid level so they will be checking on that frequently. Here are a few pictures from my 32 week scan.

He has hair! It is the spiky stuff on the right

This one is a little  more difficult to see but his hand and chord were in the way.  We could see him practice breathing it was incredible!

Happy 7th Anniversary!

7 years ago we were married in the Idaho Falls Temple! 7 years to me doesn't do justice to the relationship we have and love we have for each other. I am so thankful we took the plunge and a chance on each other! What an incredible 7 years it has been! I LOVE YOU TROY!

I bet you are wondering what we are doing to celebrate... Well, today we embarked on a journey together. Troy is headed back to school an UNM to try and get into the speech & language pathology program. It is going to be a long 3 years (maybe longer if he decides to do the PhD program) but we are confident that things will work out. We have been through a lot together in our short 7 years. We have experienced so many wonderful things together and I feel blessed that we have been on this journey for so many years. Thank you Troy for the best 7 years of my life! Now onto another 70!

Summer catch up

We did some fun things this summer and I should have been better at documenting it. But here are a few pictures I didn't get a chance to post yet.

After my sister told us of a friend who would teach her kids about different countries through out the summer I thought it was a great idea. Hinckley is at a perfect age to learn more about other customs and cultures. Our first stop was Mexico. We also made stops in China, Australia, and Africa. We went to the library and borrowed books that would give us insight on school in that country, food, games, etc.

Here are our finished pinatas! Hinckley loved smashing his to pieces but Chandler didn't want to ruin his... Mine is on the left, Hinks is in the middle and Chandlers is on the right.
Painting them!
Hinks loves art & craft time
Chandler would have loved painting everything in sight like the walls, table, himself
Hinks was really meticulous on the paint color and stuff, it made me smile
Our covered balloons!
Paste+balloons+newspaper=pinatas!
One Saturday a guy at Dads work had a summer party at his home up in the mountains. My kids were in HEAVEN because this house had all sorts of fun things to do. They have huge gardens, playhouses through the vast yard, ponds (with snakes in them), swings in random places, gnomes that dot the land that you search for, hiking trails, bugs and galore!

Hinks loved dressing up as a knight

They had this amazing zipline. Trust me I was a bit skeptical especially since I cut my eyelid on a zipline when I was 9 or 10. But after some trial runs from other kids and a few adults I let the kids go on it...

I have never in Chandlers life seen a smile as big as I did that day on the zipline. Nope I didn't catch it on camera because I was using my cell phone and I was PETRIFIED of him falling off the thing.
Hinks loved it too

We spent most of our summer days at the park in the morning before it got hot and then snoozing in the afternoon. I wish I would have taken more pictures because our summer is over even if it sill HOT outside.

1st day of 1st grade!

Hinckley started school this past Wednesday. He was SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED to go he could hardly sleep the night before.Troy gave him a beautiful blessing before school started and it reminded me of what a special boy I have!

He rode his bike all 3 days of school this week. I am so glad we did because the first day was a nut house of cars.
Riding down the road to school!
At his desk ready for the day to start!
Look at this handsome boy!
Wednesday and Thursday were a bit of an adjustment even though he LOVED it. There was so miscommunication about when they could leave for recess after lunch so he wasn't happy he missed recess twice. But after talking with his teacher on Friday and figuring a few things out he finally was able to have recess after lunch! HE LOVED the first 3 days so we are hoping the rest of the school year is a success!

Saying goodbye to an elect lady

It was a week ago tonight that we received a late phone call telling us that Grandma Puckett had been in a really bad car accident.

In my gut I knew this was her time to go and both Troy and I wanted to hop in the car and drive straight for Grand Junction to say goodbye. My in laws drove all night to be by her side and I am so thankful they did. They kept us up to date as the next 48 hours dragged on. She passed away Sunday night and we are so thankful she is not in pain. She was reunited with her parents, siblings, and 2 children. I can not imagine what a wonderful reunion it was for her!

The funeral was this past Thursday and we were hoping to go but it just wasn't in the cards for us. All of us have been sick (still are), Troy just finished up at his job to start school, Hinckley would have missed the first 3 days of 1st grade, and since my fluids are low I am sure the doctor would not have given me the go ahead to go. Even though if that was the only thing holding us back we would have still gone. So with so many strikes against us we decided to stay put. We have such fond memories of Grandma and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to know her! She served people EVERY SINGLE DAY OF HER LIFE! Many people say that about people but this lady truly lived up to that. If she wasn't working at the state home, or taking care of her ex-husband, it was her autistic grandchild.

Here are some fun pictures and I need to find the ones from our wedding!
Probably one of my favorites of all time!
She loved Chandler!
